Inspired by fellow blogger Hello Bexa, I thought this post would be a wonderfully positive way to round off the week. Having recently read Bexa’s 50 Things That Make Me Happy it made me wonder how easy it would be for me to make a list of 50 things that make me happy, so I thought I would give it a shot too. If you haven’t already be sure to check out the Hello Bexa blog, not only is it full of inspirational posts but her photography is out of this world – she sells prints of her amazing photography in her Etsy shop too!

Well there we go I managed to make it to 50! PHEW – It was harder than I thought! This list took quite a while to compile – I ended up leaving a pad lying around adding to it over a number of days! I really enjoyed writing them all down, it’s a fantastic way to end the week and step into the next with a positive, happy mindset, the way every week should start!
What makes you happy? How easy do you think it would be to list 50 things that make you happy? Why not give it a go, be sure to let me know if you do!
This is such a lovely post, and I’m sure it’ll be really nice to look back at in the future as well – we’ve definitely got some similar ones here too! I’m a big fan of cake, that definitely makes me happy, and having a lie in.. 😍

This is such a cute post! I agree with quite a few of your picks like cake, chocolate, having a lie in and date nights! I know what you mean about it being a difficult list to put together though it’s hard to think of things on the spot sometimes!

Ahhhh, this is a lovely post! I’m currently working on a similar post of happiness for this week too.
I love being able to reflect on the things that make me happy and how much more positive it makes me feel reading back through the tips.
I’ve loved yours especially visiting the library – I feel like no-one does this anymore, they bring back so many wonderful memories for me, when I have kids in the future I would love to take them for an afternoon to explore the shelves!
Much love, Becky – http://www.eyeful-events.com x x x

This is such a lovely post! It’s such a great idea, I can imagine it was harder then you would think having to think of all these things so it’s a good idea you left a notepad around – it’s the worse when trying to think of so many things on the spot haha. You’ve listed some great things 🙂

This was so lovely to read, and a great variety of things too. I’d love to something like this, although I can see why you had to write things down. I’m sure I’d struggle with this! x

This was such a lovely post to read, Mel! I did a couple of 25 Things That Make Me Happy last year and I read Bexa’s 50 Things post as well. It’s so nice to find out what makes other bloggers happy – as a mum I agree with a lot of what you’ve got here, although an empty washing basket is just a pipe dream, haha! X

Empty washing baskets don’t happen often here either Lisa, we can keep hoping!

I love this idea! You would think it would be easy to come up with 50 but I know it would take me a while. It’s not something you really think about. Can’t wait to try 🙂

I think this is such a lovely way to remember the smaller things in life that you love and make you happy, that sometimes we end up overlooking! I can totally relate to a lot of these loves as well – especially the clean bedding and empty washing basket, there’s nothing like feeling clean, organised and on top of everything!
