Review: DERMALOCH Natural Skincare

Since hitting my teenage years, I have suffered on and off with eczema and dry skin. Initially, confined to my face; over the years I have been plagued with patches appearing sporadically all over my body, with my hands often being the worst affected. Having such sensitive skin has meant that when I find a product that works for me and doesn’t cause irritation I tend to stick with it for fear of a flare up. I have also found in the past that even after a couple of weeks of thinking a product is compatible with my skin it can sometimes still become an irritant after prolonged use.

Last month I was sent a parcel by DERMALOCH, a company specialising in natural products for those prone to skin complaints, and I have been using them for just over a month. With over 50yrs of expertise, DERMALOCH have created two skincare products which are safe to use for those who may experience problems with psoriasis, dermatitis and eczema.

Using the knowledge of the skin’s capacity to self-heal, DERMALOCH has used the best quality natural oils and extracts in their products to help aid the process. Taking the soothing and healing properties of essential oils in combination with plant extracts they have created a synthetic-free, natural product offering a healthy balance for your skin, ideal for everyday use. Their products are cruelty-free and suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those with allergies to gluten, nuts, soya and dairy.

The DERMALOCH range currently consists of two products and I was kindly sent both to try. Having used them in combination for over a month now what did I think?

DERMALOCH Rejuvaderm Cream 100ml

Rejuvaderm cream is full of powerful anti-oxidants including Zeolite, plus is rich in natural moisturisers, omegas, vitamins and minerals. Able to be used on the face it makes an ideal everyday moisturiser.

I have primarily used this as a facial moisturiser and have found it much lighter than my usual one and I’ve discovered a little goes a long way. It applies to my skin smoothly and absorbs instantly leaving no residue or greasy feeling on my skin. My face has felt soft and hydrated throughout the day and I haven’t experienced any irritation whatsoever. My forehead is prone to dry patches and during my trial month I haven’t experienced any despite the cold weather which usually impacts my skin.

I really like Rejuvaderm; it’s passed my skin irritation test which is one of my main criteria when choosing a skincare product and it’s delivered exactly what it promises on the box.

DERMALOCH Intensive Spray 100ml

This skin nourishment spray is a natural moisturiser that can be used all over the body and is suitable for children over 12 months. Easily absorbed into the skin it doesn’t require any rubbing which is ideal to avoid further irritation to sore or sensitive skin. The spray is easy to use and can be applied 3-4 times a day to keep problem areas moisturised.

I’ve been mainly using this on my arms and elbows and have found it not only simple to use, but effective too. I’ve never used a spray moisturiser before, but I’m a convert as my skin is feeling much softer and my dry patches have started to clear over the last few weeks. When applying it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on my skin and absorbs really quickly. Both DERMALOCH products are free from artificial scents and have a natural smell provided by the essential oils. The Intensive spray does have a slightly stronger smell than the cream which is almost clinical thanks to the essential oils, but it is by no means unpleasant.

I’ve absolutely loved using both moisturisers and am thrilled to have found new products that work for my skin. Having tried so many skincare products for dry skin in the past I can honestly say these are some of the most effective of the bunch, plus their all-natural credentials give them a significant edge in comparison to other I’ve have tried and tested.

  1. Do they stock hand cream? My hands are prone to eczema, so I’m always looking for a hand cream to help. I have noticed my skin becoming a bit dry on my face than it used to be. Would you recommend a person using this on their face if they have combination skin?
