Meet The Blogger: Helen From The Socialite UK

Welcome to another instalment of my Meet The Blogger series and today I’m excited to be featuring a blog very close to my heart. I started my blogging journey writing for The Socialite UK after editor Helen took a chance on me and the experience completely changed my life. The Socialite UK covers a whole host of different topics, with something for everyone and I hope you enjoy reading all about this fabulous blog and the lovely lady who created it.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog

I’m Helen Hill and I’m from Merseyside. My blog is called The Socialite UK and is a collaborative blog with the owner of this blog, Mel! The Socialite is a lifestyle blog that covers all aspects of the genre, from food to fashion, places to entertainment and everything inbetween.

How long have you been blogging?

Probably about a decade now, I started blogging back in the Myspace days!

What or who inspired you to create your blog?

I just had a vision for an inclusive lifestyle blog for women and developed the idea from there, sort of like a magazine but online.

What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?

Finding out about all of the hot new things before they ever become popular.

How do you stay motivated?

It’s hard and I struggle massively with this in all aspects of my life but i think just looking at what you’ve built and how much hard work it has taken makes you carry on.

What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?

Finding the time to do it and do it well.

Tell us about your favourite blog post

Probably my interview with The Hara, a band I randomly met at a party who have since become pretty big on the teen music scene but we were the first ever blog to interview them!

Describe your blog in four words

Informative, diverse, unique and fabulous.

What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?
