These weeks are simply flying past and I genuinely can’t believe we are only a week away from the end of February! Another week though means I have another fabulous blogger lined up to introduce you to and this week in the spotlight is Alessandra from The Next Metric. Have a read of her Meet The Blogger interview and then be sure to check out our amazing blog too.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
Hi! First of all thank you for having me here. It’s a pleasure to have this chat with you. I’m a blogger and a coach. I have been a coach for many years now. I have helped different women in different stages of their life change their mindset and achieve different goals. A wonderful experience that has taught me a lot about myself too. I started blogging following my desire to share what I have been learning so far. I write about personal development bringing in my own experience not only as a coach but also as a person that has gone though her own changes. My blog is my way to reach out to the world 🙂
How long have you been blogging?
Almost a year now
What or who inspired you to create your blog?
I started volunteering as a coach many years ago for an international association that helps women start over with their life. Not every woman though. Only the ones that have had a very difficult past and don’t have money to pay a professional help. These women bring their personal story in the coaching process. Very often a sad one. Still they have the strength and the willpower to move past and start over. They are committed and they have hope and faith. It’s always amazing to see how they evolve in the coaching process to reach their goal. I have learned so much from them. At some point I felt the need to share with a bigger audience my experience. The true and firm believe that it is possible to change. That age is not a limit to start over. I was also going through my own personal crisis at that point. I spent many years in IT as project manager. A job that didn’t make me happy anymore. And I was looking for my passion which I discovered (or rediscovered I should write) in reading and writing. So what better than a blog could represent the combination of my passion and my wish of sharing with the world my experience? 🙂
What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?
I have to read a lot before I can write something that makes sense. As I wrote before, I love reading. Plus the blog puts me in contact with so many different people. Readers, other bloggers and so on and so forth. All people I can learn something from.
How do you stay motivated?
I have to confess that there are days when it is hard. I take a small break then to acknowledge whatever feeling I’m feeling and give myself the time to metabolise it. After that I go back to reading and writing reminding myself the reason why I decided to start blogging.
What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
The beginning. I had no clue what I was doing 🙂
Tell us about your favourite blog post
My favourite post is How I Found My Passion In Life!
In this blog I talked about the process I went through to discover my passion. Honestly it wasn’t easy and it wasn’t fast! Everybody talks about how life becomes wonderful and so much easier when you find your thing. Your passion. Everybody seems to have found their purpose and they want to share their secret fast recipe with you. I mean…it’s not really that way. At least for me it wasn’t. I tried everything. Read tons of blogs. Took courses. Filled notebooks with my thoughts, my wishes and so on and so forth. Nothing worked!! Until I looked at myself and my life differently. Then I saw. There isn’t such a thing like THE passion. The one that makes your life easy. There is instead a combination of things that makes your life better. That makes you happier. And then there is the work to do to achieve that life that you have pictured in your head 🙂
Describe your blog
It’s a simple blog offering tips on how to move past fears and start a different better life. I also offer a free resource library where to find ebooks and worksheets on different topics
