Welcome back to my Meet The Blogger series designed especially to help you find some new blogs to read and enjoy. Today I’m featuring my interview with Rachel who writes blog Another Station Another Mile. I hope you enjoy finding out all about her fabulous site as well as a little more about the wonderful lady behind it’s creation.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
My name is Rachel, I’m 23 and I’ve just finished my Master’s degree abroad in the UK. I’m back living in the US (Los Angeles) and job hunting.
How long have you been blogging?
Since May 2015.
What or who inspired you to create your blog?
I was going on a study abroad program from the 2015/2016 academic year and my ma suggested I start a blog for family to keep up with, so I did!
What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?
Looking back on my memories and reading small details about my travels that I probably would have forgotten otherwise.
How do you stay motivated?
I live with my grandma and she holds me pretty accountable for getting things done, haha! I suppose I’ve always been one of those people who likes to have loads on their plate and I’m just really excited about life.
What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
Dealing with the anxiety of not having time to post! I feel like I’m letting my followers and myself down.
Tell us about your favourite blog post
It’s hard to pick one as I work really hard on all my posts. But my most recent favourite would have to be my Reading Wrap-Up series I’ve started. It has helped me better reflect on the books I read rather than tossing them aside and moving on to the next one. I really enjoy writing them and I hope my viewers enjoy reading them.
Describe your blog in four words
Travel, conservation, personal, whatever!
What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?
I just want to keep up with it if only for myself, it’s like a diary that anyone can read I suppose! And maybe a cheeky sponsored post every so often.
Sweet or savoury?
Sweet.
I’d like to say a massive thank you to Rachel for taking part. Check out next week’s post as I welcome another fabulous blogger.
Nice to meet Rachel and read all about her blogging! Congratulations, Rachel, on earning your Master’s degree and good luck with your job search!
