Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog

I’m a passionate writer, photographer and aspiring author, I write for my blog ‘whatsinmywonderland’. My blog covers many topics ranging from my lifestyle, to my mental health journey as well as anything and everything book related. I enjoy to be creative and aims to inspire others to chase their dreams. I also make and sell handmade vegan scented candles on my blog.

How long have you been blogging?

I started blogging in January 2018, but to be honest with you it feels like much longer and I honestly don’t know how I lived without it.

What or who inspired you to create your blog?

I was sitting down having a chat with my partner one night about writing and wondering how to ‘put myself out there’ when he suggested that I start a blog and I barely questioned it, there and then I got my laptop out and ‘whatsinmywonderland’ was born.

What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?

I enjoy all aspects of blogging but more than anything, I enjoy being able to express my thoughts and opinions with the world. I enjoy having a platform to tell my story and hopefully inspire more people to always pursue their dreams.

How do you stay motivated?

I’ll admit it’s not always easy to stay motivated but one of my biggest pieces of advice would have to be – remember why you started and think about the ‘end goal’. Why did you start? What did you want to accomplish? Use these answers to motivate you to continue working towards that goal.

What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?

Battling my mental health along the way. There has been way too many times when I’ve thought that my blogging journey had come to an end because I put myself down that much but I always manage to persevere.

Tell us about your favourite blog post

My favourite blog posts always tend to be the more personal ones as they are hard to write and I feel rather accomplished when I manage to gather the courage to share the personal things. These are a few of my favourites :

Describe your blog in four words

Honest, Bookish, Lifestyle, Mental-Health.

What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?

I’d love nothing more than for my blog to continue to grow and one day become my full time career alongside writing novels and pursuing my dream as an author.
