Happy Thursday everyone and welcome back to another Meet The Blogger interview! This week I’m chatting to multi talented Mum, author, blogger and pod caster Segilola Salami. Find out all about her amazing blog and what inspires her in today’s instalment – enjoy!

Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
I’m a mum, author and podcaster. On my blog, I write about family life and working from home. I share books by other authors and also write about my podcast The Segilola Salami Show
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging since Feb 2016
What or who inspired you to create your blog?
When I first got my website, I started my podcast, so I used my blog as an avenue to publish my podcast and write about book related things. It was only when another author referred to me as a blogger that I realised that actually I am a blogger
What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?
The best thing about running my blog is I have full control of the content and I’m not answerable to anyone. I can share content that I feel would be valuable to anyone who reads it but there are no targets etc. My blog helps me help others which is a great feeling
How do you stay motivated?
When I look at my daughter, I know that failure is NOT an option. So I try to stay organised and plan ahead
What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
I can’t think of anything I would say has been challenging. I think of things as an opportunity to learn and develop myself. Before I started, I had zero followers. So one of the biggest learning curves has been learning to create content that offers value to the person who reads it
Tell us about your favourite blog post
I don’t have a favourite blog post per se but for the sake of this interview, I would say that my podcast episode where I chatted with another author about reincarnation was quite interesting. We talked about different culture’s views of reincarnation and how my daughter randomly would say “when you were a baby and I was your mummy and now I’m a baby and you’re my mummy”. Describe your blog in four words
Unpredictable, enjoyable and educational
What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?
I would like to be able to offer value to even more people
