Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog

Milk and Stones is a place for women and mothers of all backgrounds to feel encouraged. We tend to try and share the love we are taught from our heavenly Father. We are a big mental health advocate, we want to be a safe haven for those who need it.

How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging for about 2 years, off and on. About a year fully.

What or who inspired you to create your blog?

I wanted to do something for me and to share my stories and with whom ever they can inspire. I wanted to let women, young girls, mothers that they are made wonderfully. My family is a big support in this along with my husband.

What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?

I get to be Gods light, I also get the freedom to write about a lot for example my journey with anxiety!

How do you stay motivated?

I try and take a step back ever few weeks and go to a white board filling it with topic ideas. I also use my faith and my motherhood as motivation to push forward.

What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?

The biggest challenge is keeping up with posting, life gets busy and sometimes it gets put on the back burner for a time. Another challenge is dealing with negativity, often to many people feel the need to slam others down for what they post.

Tell us about your favourite blog post

My favourite blog post is Her Battle  From Her daughters eyes. In honour of breast cancer awareness and for my mother I tell her story from my point of view in hopes to encourage those who are battling any form of cancer that they got this as well as to encourage those who are sitting on the sidelines feeling helpless like I was.
