Happy Thursday everyone! I’ve got a fabulous blogger to introduce you to this week as I share my interview with Tiani who uses her blog space to discuss all things mental health and parenting. Check out what she had to say about what her inspiration to create her website and be sure to take a look using the links below too.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
I’m a 22-year-old girl from New Jersey. I’m real, compassionate, and down to earth and my blog reflects that. I come from a huge loving family and now have a beautiful family of my own starring my beautiful baby boy!
How long have you been blogging?
I will be blogging for almost 2 years coming up this February. It feels like forever but I know I am a blogging newbie.
What or who inspired you to create your blog?
A few years ago I was put into the psychiatric ward for a suicide attempt. I suffer from anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I wanted to create an outlet not only for me but for anyone who felt they were handling their mental health alone.
What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?
My favourite thing about running my blog is interacting with people from all over the world. It’s nice to know how far your work can travel.
How do you stay motivated?
This was very hard for me at first. I couldn’t stay motivated at all. I had no drive but since my son was born, motivation is all I have. So he is my motivation!
What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
Something challenging for me about blogging would be seeing its progress. As time goes on I get better and better with patience which is so important.
Tell us about your favourite blog post (feel free to add a link!)
My favourite blog post would be my labour and delivery post. It’s just so real you would feel like you are there too! Everyone’s experience is different so I love that readers can get a different perspective on such a big part of life.
Describe your blog in four words
Raw, fun, informative, and friendly!
What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?
My hopes and goals for the future of my blog would be to stay as consistent as I am now and to keep growing. I also hope to become more familiar with the more technical side of blogging.
