Meet The Blogger: Han From Chronicles Of A Creative Mess

If you are in search of some new online content to get your teeth into then you have come to the right place! I created my weekly Meet The Blogger series for exactly that reason and over the last thirteen months I have had the pleasure of chatting to a whole host of wonderfully diverse bloggers. Today is of course Thursday (again!) and that means I have another blogger lined up and today in the spotlight is Han from Chronicles Of A Creative Mess; take a look at her interview and please take a look at her fabulous blog too!

Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog

I’m Han, 22 (23 in a few months), from Liverpool, UK. I’m a pretty simple gal whose language consists of 80% sarcasm. I love tea, Netflix, food and expressing my opinions. I’m an advocate for love, kindness, empathy and equality. That’s pretty much me.

How long have you been blogging?

I started my blogging journey 8 years ago and but only started to take it seriously 3 years ago.

What or who inspired you to create your blog?

8 years ago I created my first blog because my cousin’s created one of their own. I thought it looked fun. As most do, I quickly fell in love with having my own little space on the internet. I created my current blog after I was diagnosed with a condition called Dystonia. I had quite a lot of my independence ripped away from me, so creating my blog was a way for me to claim some of that back.

What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?

Almost everything. The creative freedom, the readers I touch, the readers I help, the joy I feel. Running my blog is my favourite thing.

How do you stay motivated?

To be honest, I struggle sometimes to stay motivated. But ultimately, blogging is my passion, and I’ll always find my way back to it.

What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?

As a blogger it’s necessary to be active on social media. But I can no longer count how many times social media has set me back in my mental health recovery. The most challenging thing I’ve faced is trying to find the balance between being active for my blog, and protecting my mental health.

Tell us about your favourite blog post (feel free to add a link!)

I always struggle with this because I don’t tend to publish a post that I’m not proud of. So I’ll go with the first post I published this year, or this decade. It was an important one to me because it was my return after taking a small break due to my deteriorating mental health, and whilst I was writing it I felt more like myself than I had done in quite a while.
