It’s Thursday again and it wouldn’t be a Thursday at Fraser’s Fun House without another blogger interview! Today in the spotlight for my Meet The Blogger questions is the wonderful Chloe from Chloe Talks. Check out her answers to those all important blogging questions and be sure to stop by her website and give it a little love. Enjoy!
Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
My name is Chloe, and I am a lifestyle blogger based in North Devon. By day I work at a digital marketing agency and then blog in my free time or whenever I get the chance; my life ends up being super busy.
My blog would potentially fall into the lifestyle niche, but I will write about anything. I started Chloe Talks more like an online diary as I was struggling with my mental health quite a bit, so I liked to use it as a coping mechanism at the time. It is still an open book for me, and I will be very transparent in what I write about, it could be about contraception, periods to mental health to posts about my dog!
How long have you been blogging?
I have only been blogging for around a year and a half so far, and started created my blog in July 2018; so I am still pretty new to the scene!
What or who inspired you to create your blog?
In my current job role, I work with a lot of bloggers on sponsored posts and influencer marketing etc. and they all inspired me to start my own blog. It was nice to see how people wrote about such personal things, and I have always been an open book and thought it would be a great place for me to write down my thoughts.
What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?
One of my favourite things about running my blog is having the potential to help someone. With the kind of things I write about, it is probably nice for people to read it and then know that they are not alone.
How do you stay motivated?
When having a full-time job and then blogging on the side, it is super hard to stay motivated. However, I tend to only try to post once a week, so I usually sit down on a Friday after work with lots of coffee! I think it is also important that your content isn’t forced, if you don’t want to write something or don’t have any ideas, just take some time to yourself instead.
What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
I would say my biggest challenge to date is probably Instagram engagement; I try and produce good content, but don’t tend to get anything back for it! In the last month or so, I have tried not too hung up on numbers now and just go with the flow!
Tell us about your favourite blog post
My favourite blog post is probably about my experience with the contraceptive implant; this is probably my rawest post and most personal post.
Describe your blog in four words
Personal, fun, friendly, random!
What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?
As my blog is more like a hobby to me, I am not really aiming that big with it. However, it would be great to maybe make some money from it in the future!
