Meet The Blogger: Carole From TootSweet4Two

Happy Thursday….or at least I think it’s Thursday; it’s hard to tell at the moment when everyday is starting to feel like Groundhog Day! So, I’ll go with the fact it’s actually Thursday and introduce today’s blogger in the spotlight, Carole from TootSweet4Two. Quite appropriately Carole’s blog has a whole host of ideas and inspiration on what to cook and if you are like us here at Fraser’s Fun House we could defiantly do with some of that to get us through the lockdown, so be sure to check out our interview then visit her site too!

Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
My blog is a lifestyle blog with a heavy emphasis on recipes.  I started it with my niece 8 years ago, thus the “4 Two” in the name.  As the mother of two young girls, she decided to “retire” about five years ago.  She still helps me with some of the technical stuff on the back end.  I’m old for a blogger.  I’m 65 (you can choose to leave this out if you want to), but I have no intention of retiring any time soon because I love my blog and I love blogging!  I’m married (30+ years) to Charlie and we have a cat, a boy named Coco.

How long have you been blogging?

8 years this June!  Whew – time flies when you are having fun!

What or who inspired you to create your blog?

My niece, Tiffany.  I didn’t even know what a blog was until she introduced them to me.  I’m forever grateful to her!

What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?

The creativity – I like writing and I’m learning photography, and I enjoy almost everything about blogging, even having to force myself to learn some technical stuff!

How do you stay motivated?

That’s a tough question because I never run out of ideas.  So, if my idea is something that inspires me in that moment, then I’m motivated to see it through to launch.

What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
Learning the technical side of blogging, whether its photography, photo editing or learning to use a new system (like an email service, for example) or learning more about things like SEO, etc.
Tell us about your favourite blog post
My personal favourite post is a travel diary I wrote about the one and only trip to Ireland I took in 2007 with a friend.  It’s long (12 pages), but it is all in one post if you stick with it.  It has many funny moments about two California girls who are 20 years apart in age, making their way through Ireland without a tour guide.

Describe your blog in four words

My “tag line” – Cook Create Inspire  – plus Eclectic (because I have so many categories).

What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?

That my blog readership continues to grow so that I can implement new features and offer more things to readers.
