Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
I’m Aishwariya. I live in suburban Chennai. I have a blog called Ash Talks Books in which I write about books.
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging on and off since 2005, but I’ve written in different blogs on blogspot and wordpress about various topics. It was only in 2017 that I started blogging about books.
What or who inspired you to create your blog?
My friend Arati Thomas told me to start a book blog after seeing my posts about books on social media. That’s what inspired me to start one.
What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?
My favourite thing about running my blog is that it opens up so many avenues and connects me to the writing community. I’m a writer and editor and quite the introvert, so this online world opens up my horizons.
How do you stay motivated?
I owe it to the blogging community ( specially @blogchatter) and some wonderful writers I’ve met online to stay motivated.
What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
The most challenging part of my blogging journey has been staying consistent with my efforts.

What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?
I dream of having a self-hosted blog where I post about not only books, but also about writing, reading, editing and about authors.
