It’s that time of the week again where I introduce you to another blogger as part of my ongoing blog series Meet The Blogger. If you are looking for some new content creators to follow then my back list of blogger interviews has some real gems to discover!
Anyway, back to today’s feature and I’m chatting to Shannon from the aptly named Shannon’s Corner. Check out what she had to say about her slice of the internet and of course be sure to use the links to follow her blog and social media too.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
Hi there, so I’m Shannon and I’m 23 years old, working in Education. I’m also quite political and opinionated and I think I reflects my blog, Shannon‘s Corner. It’s just a piece of the internet for me to express my thoughts and opinion and hopefully have conversation and learn from others as well.
How long have you been blogging?
Only since the 31st May 2020 so I’m really quite new to this, but so far it’s been a lot of fun.
What or who inspired you to create your blog?
I’ve just always enjoyed writing and I have been writing for about 10 years now, but I never thought I had time to actually blog. Now with everything going on I just thought it’s now or never, so now it is.
What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?
Having somewhere to express my thoughts without just annoying my family and interacting with other bloggers and people via social media as well.
How do you stay motivated?
I think since it’s still quite new its exciting so being motivated isn’t an issue, but if it does become one I think the community on twitter will help with that because it’s really great and seeing everyone else’s amazing content is very motivating.
What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
Using social media. I know it’s not compulsory for blogging but I think it helps, but I have no personal social media accounts so getting back into using it has been quite difficult.
Tell us about your favourite blog post
I think my favourite blog post so far has been lockdown hobbies because I think its interesting to see what people have been up to during this strange time.
Describe your blog in four words
Opinionated, chatty, varied and friendly!
What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?
I’d like to build a community of people I can chat with about all sorts of different topics where we can learn from each other and just have a really friendly time as well.
