Although it’s hard to believe it’s actually the last Thursday in July, where has the year gone? However, fear not I have yet another amazing blogger interview to share with you today, so grab a cuppa, sit back and enjoy finding out all about the wonderful Becca and her blog!
Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
Well, hi there, my name’s Becca and I’m a psychology graduate turned digital marketer! I work in social media management and copywriting for an SME and have been working in this field since I graduated. When I’m not at work, I’m found going for cocktails with friends, eating Biscoff straight from the jar or playing with my cockapoo puppy, Murphy.
How long have you been blogging?
I started my blog during my second year of university and have been writing over at Becc4 for a whole 2 and half years now! The time has absolutely flown by and I’ve loved creating so much content!
What or who inspired you to create your blog?
I’d always loved reading blogs and following content creators on Instagram, so, during one very dull exam season I decided to set up my own as a creative outlet. As much as I loved my course and all of the studying involved, it was nice to have some escapism and write about things other than neurons, Chi Square tests and developmental theorists.
What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?
I love all of the people it’s allowed me to meet! Talking to people is one of my favourite things to do and starting my blog has allowed me to do this, with people from all over the world!
How do you stay motivated?
For me, bizarrely enough, staying motivated actually means taking breaks! I find taking time away so beneficial and find when I return, I’m far more passionate than if I’d halfheartedly posted something because I felt I ought to! That, and I really like the topics I talk about. I’ve recently decided to really drill down on the things I cover, and this has really helped keep me motivated as I have a much clearer vision in my mind of where I want to take my blog.
What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
Definitely juggling work and my personal blog! I write a lot of blog posts at my day job so often find I’ve run out of creative energy by the time I get around to sitting at my own laptop doing my own posts. To combat this, I’ve been trying to work on my own blog at weekends and keep weekdays just for chilling.
Tell us about your favourite blog post (feel free to add a link!)
My favourite blog post is definitely my Biscoff Cheesecake Recipe. It’s hands down the best dessert I’ve ever eaten, and I’m so pleased with how it turned out!! The base is so buttery and rich, the filling light and airy, and it’s topped with a layer of Biscoff… What more could you want?
Describe your blog in four words
Chatty, relatable, aesthetic, light-hearted
What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?
I’d love to continue creating a community and ideally hit 20k monthly visitors… A girl can dream, hey? Besides that, I’d love to work on a few more collaborations as well as use my platform for greater good.
