Welcome back to another installment of my Meet The Blogger Series! This week I’m chatting to fellow book lover Tonyalee to find out all about her blog Vivacious Bibliophile. I hope you enjoy my interview with her and of course be sure to take the time and check out her amazing website as well as visiting her social media too!
Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
Hiya! My name is Tonyalee. I’m a mama of 2 teen boys. I love to read, craft, & I have a weird obsession with Serial Killers. My happy place is the beach. My blog, Vivacious Bibliophile, is a lifestyle blog with a high focus on wellness & relationships! I also recently started a new book blog, The Audacious Reader.
How long have you been blogging?
I started my blogging in 2013 as a book blogger under a different name. After 5 years, I decided to branch out and write more about Lifestyle, and then narrowed down my niche to wellness & relationships from there!
What or who inspired you to create your blog?
I can’t recall honestly! I was reviewing books on Goodreads and just decided to create a website and put them there. I didn’t even realise there was a whole community! As for what inspired me to change my niche? My passions expanded and grew and I wanted to share those passions with readers, and help others as well.
What’s your favourite thing about running your blog?
A creative outlet. I love being able to do so many different things from writing, photography, graphics, and more. I also love meeting new bloggers and the support of the community.
How do you stay motivated?
It’s a struggle sometimes! I have really bad anxiety, which tends to have me fluctuating my work. But, I use a lot of schedules and affirmations to keep going.
What’s been the most challenging part of your blogging journey to date?
Time management. There have only been a brief few months where I wasn’t working outside the home at the same time as blogging, so learning how to balance work, life, kids, blogging, has been a HUGE undertaking.
Tell us about your favourite blog post
I have quite a few! But one of my favourites was an honest post I wrote about Divorce. I was struggling at the time with a few things, and I didn’t feel like anyone had told me or prepared me to deal with it! The more I thought about it, a few other things popped up that I felt wholly unprepared for; and no one wanted to talk about it.I wrote this post as
a guide for the few HARD truths about divorce and how NO ONE wants to
talk about these things.
Describe your blog in four words
Fun. Creative. Helpful. Vivacious
What are your future hopes and dreams for your blog?
I want to blog full time. So my goal would be to continue to grow and help women all over the world, and inspire them to be their best selves!
