It’s no secret that everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment thanks to the current cost of living crisis. With prices rising far quicker than wages it’s not surprising people are trying to find other ways to make or save some money, often just to get by week to week. I’ve always actively tried to find ways to bring in a few extra pounds to enable me to afford treats for the kids over the years. Therefore, I feel I can confidently say I have tried and tested my fair share of games and apps that all promise to make you money and nine times out of ten they don’t live up to the hype.
Despite the disappointments, I have found a small selection of apps that really do deliver on their promises so thought I would share them in the hope they may help others. Don’t get me wrong these apps aren’t going to make you a fortune, but they may just help towards a little luxury or treat you don’t have room for in your budget otherwise.
TopCashback
This is an app has been around for quite a while so you may already be familiar with how it works so feel free to skip forward! Simple yet effective, TopCashback does what it says on the tin and allows you to earn cashback on purchases made when you shop via their app or website. With a whole host of well known partner retailers including Amazon, Ebay, Just Eat ,Lastminute.com and ATG Tickets to name but a few there are so many opportunities to earn on purchases you were are making!

When I’m looking to buy ANYTHING online I always check TopCashback first to see if the website is listed and if it is use their link to be transferred to the retailers website. By doing this TopCashback will track and log your purchase and you will earn commission based on the current offer or % rate at the time. It may only be a couple of pence on some occasions but it soon adds up and before you know it you will be able to cash out and have real money transferred into your bank account.
They occasionally have flash offers that earn you larger cashback amounts so be sure to keep your eyes peeled – often you will see people talking about these on social media! I recently earned £30 cashback by sending myself a £1 Moneygram – the fee to send the Moneygram to my own bank account was £2.99 so my total cashback excluding fee was £27.01 not bad for a couple of minutes of clicking on my phone!

Eureka
I’ve tried my fair share of survey sites and apps over the years and I got so frustrated at not being accepted to participate or the lack of available surveys after the initial flurry. With Eureka this hasn’t been a problem! When you sign up with them you are given a bonus to get you started and the opportunities for surveys come thick and fast.

The pay-outs range for 2p-£2+ depending on the length of survey and quite often even if you aren’t accepted you will receive a 1p bonus into your cashpot. There are daily polls which earn you money and more recently you are able to play games to earn £ – although I’ll be honest I’ve never tried this as I’m not really one for playing games on my phone.
You can cash out your earnings from as low as £4 and have the choice of being paid by Paypal or virtual Visa, alternatively you can exchange your cash for vouchers at Amazon, John Lewis, M&S, Tesco or T K Maxx. I find my cashpot climbs so quickly on this app and I like to save my money and exchange for Amazon vouchers for Christmas or when I have a birthday coming up as the little extra comes in so handy for gifts.

Airtime Rewards
Airtime Rewards is a reasonably new app to me and I’ve only been using it a couple of months but I’ve been so impressed it simply had to be included on this list! Like TopCashback this app rewards you when you shop at different partner retailers just for accessing their website through the app. There are a whole host of retailers available to shop from including Argos, Boots and Greggs plus loads of day’s out including SeaLife, The Blackpool Tower and Legoland. Being a book nerd I have to say my favourite is Waterstones where you can currently earn 6% commission!

Unlike the other apps your cashback is used against your mobile phone bill. All you need to do is add your phone number to the account and when you reach the £10 threshold for redemption click a button and the money will be deducted from your next bill within a couple of days. I have only been using this app for a while but I have already managed to save £30 on my phone bill which is just amazing. There is a monthly bonus feature where you can earn up to £2 depending on how many purchases you make and be sure to follow them on Facebook as they often have flash promo codes which when entered on the app earn you extra cash.
If you sign up using code G3PTQRWM & the link below below and make a purchase within 7 days you will receive a £2 bonus.
