If you are a woman of a certain age I don’t need to tell you how much menopausal night sweats can disturb your sleep, leaving you to sleepwalk your way through your days tired and despondent . You wake up drenched in sweat wondering if you are in fact sleeping on the surface of the sun whilst your poor partner clings to the edge of the bed to avoid any physical contact- yet still being able to feel the heat radiating from you! A simple search online will throw up plenty of suggestions of how to ‘help’, but surely your night attire should be the place to start? I’ve been testing out the Dagsmejan Stay Cool Pyjamas* to see if they can help reduce my nighttime overheating and in turn improve my sleep quality – believe me I long to wake up feeling refreshed! My review
I chose to road-test the Stay Cool Long Sleeve Top, paired with the Stay Cool Wide-Leg Pants, both in navy. This cooling nightwear for women is made using NATTCOOL™ technology, which combines eucalyptus and other natural fibres to create a fabric that is eight times more breathable than cotton. The NATTCOOL™ material is engineered to help cool your body down using gradual moisture evaporation- releasing water vapour 60% better than cotton. The material is also designed to be is fast drying making it perfect to help prevent waking up drenched from menopausal sweats.
The first thing to say about these pyjamas is how incredibly, buttery soft they are to the touch and they feel amazing against my skin. The material is lightweight as you would expect, but still has some substance to it which gives me confidence that they are made to last.
The items I chose make up a traditional style pyjama set and I was very excited to find they have trouser pockets! I also found them to be true to size according to the websites size guide.
I’ve worn the pyjamas for a number of nights now, and I do feel they’ve helped me regulate my temperature throughout the night. I haven’t woken up feeling overheated and throwing the covers off, which is definitely a win! So far, my experience with the Stay Cool pyjamas has been really positive, and I genuinely feel they’ve made my sleep more comfortable.
