Review: Printkick Promotional Stationery

I’ve always been a stationery fan, however since I started blogging it has become something bordering on an obsession! I can’t even visit a supermarket nowadays without a sneaky browse down the stationery aisle, often resulting in a little extra unplanned purchase! So, imagine my delight when I discovered an email from a company called Printkick asking if I would like to review some of their newly launched stationery range. Despite being on holiday and vowing to ‘switch off’ from blogging it took me no longer than a millisecond before I hit reply and eagerly agreed.

Who are Printkick?

Printkick are a small family run company based in High Wycombe, who have over 20 years’ experience in the print business. In April 2018 they launched their new brand offering an astounding range of items, everything from portable speakers to sweets. Their products are available to purchase as single items or in bulk, ideal for promotional use by businesses, charities etc. Most items can also be printed to order using company branding or a logo and with low minimum orders they are perfect for companies of any size.

Printkick’s aim is to offer something different within the promotional printing industry by allowing their customers to configure their own products online, receiving an instant quote without the need for a salesperson. Their user-friendly website is easy to navigate making browsing and ordering from their vast range of products easy.

With an eye on the environment they have recently launched a range of eco-friendly and recycled products. They also regularly work alongside and support a range of charities and non-profit organisations.

The Products

Once agreeing to work with them the generous folks at Printkick gave me a budget and free rein to browse and chose the products I would like to receive. What I didn’t anticipate though was the sheer number of items they offer! I’m not even joking when I say it took me days to have a proper look on their site, but eventually I made a decision and selected a cross-section of their range to review. So, what did I chose???

A5 Premium Soft Finish Notebook

I love bright colourful notebooks and the fact that this product can be ordered in fourteen colours was what initially attracted me. I chose Magenta and the bright pink colour didn’t disappoint. The cover has a really luxurious feel that is stroke ably soft – yes, I admit I have been giving it a crafty stroke when no one is watching! It has 80 lined pages with a ribbon bookmark perfect for keeping your place. Other features include a pen loop and a handy pocket inside the back cover ideal for storing important receipts or pieces of paper on the go.

Canopus Spiral Bound Notebook

This is the perfect pocket-sized notebook and comes with a handy pen which can be stored on the elasticated loop on the front cover. Filled with plenty of lined pages to jot down important notes, it also includes a various sized coloured sticky notes on the inside cover and the back edge can also be used as a ruler – fantastically multi-purpose and ideal for me to pop in my handbag. I went for the purple however there are a range of colours to choose from.

Madrid Recycled Paper Block & Pen

This spiral bound note pad is filled with 70 pages of blank eco-friendly paper and comes with a blue ballpoint pen which is neatly stored using an elasticated loop. The covers are made from recycled craft cardboard and can be purchased in three colours – I chose red. You can NEVER have too many notepads and it’s great to have one with plain paper as opposed to lined.

Antrim A4 Folder

This fantastic two-tone folder is available in three colours and comes complete with an A4 lined notepad inside. Other features include a business card slot and elasticated pen loop. It’s perfect for taking to meetings, school or college to keep your notes organised. I love the simplicity of the design which gives it a really classy feel.

Eco Desk Set

This fabulous set is contained within an eco-friendly box with magnetic close to keep the contents securely inside. The set contains a notepad with 50 sheets of plain paper, 12 coloured pencils, an eraser and a pencil sharpener. It’s perfectly packaged for use whilst travelling and I’m going to be taking this along on our forthcoming holiday for my little man to use in the car – I’m sure there are hours of fun to be had using this set and his creativity!

Cloud Sticky Notes

When I saw this, I knew it had to be one of my choices as it’s such a cute, unique take on sticky notes. It contains six different coloured sticky notes which all come together to form a cloud shape. The book is available with a black or natural cover, I went for the natural to match the Eco Desk Set.

Card Desk Set

Again, another sticky note pad! You can never have too many, right? This one includes seven different coloured/shaped notes all inside in a rectangular pad that doubles as a ruler – ideal for school! Like the cloud pad this is also available with a natural or black cover.

Metal Twist Ball Pen

I have to say that the quality of this pen massively exceeded my expectation based on it’s price point. It’s available to order in black or silver and I plumped for the silver. The pen is presented snugly encased in a matching metal case and its modern design gives a real sleek, high end feel. The pen smoothly twists to operate and is a black ink which is my preferred colour to write with. I will definitely be hiding this away from the kids as pens seem to disappear in our house and this one has quickly become my favourite.

Pen Holder With Calendar

Finally, is this eye-catching pen holder complete with electronic display. I chose this to replace my current pen holder which is an ancient plastic kiddies cup with a missing handle! It’s a generous size with plenty of room for everything you need close at hand whilst working. The display shows time, month/year, day and temperature, plus has an alarm facility which I know will be useful for me as a reminder to pick the kids up from school when I’m engrossed in my writing! Made using a combination of clear plastic and silver it has a fabulous modern look that will look great in any setting.

My Verdict

I cannot fault any aspect of this company, from the friendly communication I received to the exceptional quality of the products. My items arrived quickly, well packaged and in perfect condition. I wouldn’t hesitate to make a purchase from Printkick in the future and I know I will be spoilt for choice if I do!
