Unwind Naturally With ANUUK Aromatic

By the time the weekend arrives I’m always feeling exhausted, between work, kids, blogging and running a home I need some down time. I know I’m not alone as this fast-paced lifestyle is one that seems to have become the norm for many of us. It’s this manic way of life that that inspired London based Massage Therapist Anu Jarvinen to launch her company ANUUK Aromatic.

ANUUK’s aim is to offer something special to those of us who find ourselves feeling tired and stressed at the end of the week. Anu has developed a range of luxury aromatherapy products to help improve wellbeing and reduce everyday stress and anxiety. Having grown up in Finland traditional healing methods and the use of natural materials and herbs have always been a huge part of Anu’s life and this knowledge has certainly been a big influence when creating her products. Taking her inspiration from nature and the ancient healing energies of plants she has used the highest quality ingredients to produce a range of natural essential oils, essential oil blends and eco soy wax candles.

Created using 100% natural ingredients ANUUK offers a range of individual essentials oils as well as several oil mixes that are blended by hand. However, if you don’t see the scent you’re looking for they also offers a bespoke fragrance service, allowing you to create your own.

Anu kindly sent me some products from her range to try and I couldn’t wait to see what my surprise parcel would contain! I was thrilled to find she had sent me one of her stunning sandstone oil burners and two of her essential oil blends to use with it.

Essential Oil Burner – Circle £20

This gorgeous oil burner arrived beautifully presented in a sturdy brown box making it ideal for gifting. The first thing that struck me about the burner was its weight, it’s much heavier than I expected which gives it a real luxury feel! Made of a lovely light-coloured sandstone it has a very natural look and feel suitable for any décor. I love the circle design as I prefer stylish, simple pieces like this to those with more intricate detail, it looks perfect in my home.

Decadence Essential Oil Blend 10ml £25

This blend is inspired by the idea of an escape to paradise, created to allow you to image you are walking along the hot sand of a beautiful beach whist basking in the sun. Blended using frangipani, ylang ylang, lime, lemon and myrrh to emulate the scent of exotic flowers and fruits this scent smells simply divine. Designed to offer uplifting and energising properties it’s ideal to give you a boost when your energy may be lacking.

I love this scent, it really does smell like Summer! The fragrance isn’t overpowering and lasts for a long time too. Like all essential oils only a very small amount is required at a time, simply add a few drops to water in the dish on top of the burner meaning this 10ml bottle it will last for ages.

Aurora Essential Oil Blend 10ml £22

The Aurora blend is inspired by nature, fresh air and forest walks, more specifically the Finnish pine and fir forests from Anu’s home country. The blend includes spruce black, fir, cypress, pine and eucalyptus and has a very fresh smell to it. It’s my favourite of the two I was sent as it combines some of my favourite scents.

The properties of this essential oil blend are of grounding and support which I can really feel, if I close my eyes I can just imagine myself at one with nature in the middle of the snow-covered forests of Finland. Again, the fragrance isn’t over-powering, but has a long-lasting quality and only a very small amount is required.

With such a great range of essentials oils designed to assist with different issues there is something suitable to help everyone maintain their wellbeing. Alongside one of the gorgeous sandstone oil burners available they would make the perfect combo as a treat for yourself or even a gift for friends and family.
