Review: Procoal London Marine Moisture Sheet Mask

It’s Friday and I don’t know about you, but I love nothing more than setting aside an evening to pamper myself to help cast off the stress of a long week. Often it can be something as simple as an uninterrupted bubble bath, but I do love to give my skin a little treat too as it’s sorely neglected during the week. Last weekend I decided to opt for something different and tried a Procoal London Marine Moisture Sheet Mask whilst enjoying my Friday evening bath.

Confession; I have never used a sheet mask before! Yes, I know that sounds ludicrous considering how widely available they are, but I have always stuck with the trusty rub on masks. I’m not sure why I haven’t bit the bullet before, but was excited to try something new!

Founded in 2016, Procoal London are a British brand who have created a range of high quality beauty products all formulated using ethically sourced and traceable ingredients. The Marine Moisture Sheet Masks are one of the latest products to be added to their ever expanding range. These charcoal sheet masks offer an intensely hydrating formula combining a whole host of powerful active ingredients; including Pro-vitamin B5, botanical extracts, marine fements and aloe vera.

Filled with powerful antioxidants to help with the signs of aging, each mask also contains the equivalent of a 25ml bottle of serum which when regularly used can help give your skin a firmer, smoother appearance by increasing moisture levels and minimising pores. Cruelty-free and with no nasty’s they are suitable for use on all skin types.

So, the question is how did I find my first sheet mask experience? Well, starting with a clean, dry face as the box advised I applied the mask, which for a beginner did initially prove a little tricky to position! However, I soon managed to get it successfully smoothed onto my face and before I knew it I resembled Jim Carrey in The Mask! The mask felt wonderfully cooling as I relaxed for 20 minutes until it was time to hop out of the bath to remove.

As the mask is designed to act as an intense moisturiser there was no need to wash my face afterwards and I simply rubbed the excess moisture into my skin. I’ve previously talked about the sensitivity of my skin and I’m pleased to say I didn’t experience any problems using the Procoal London mask and it left my skin feeling gloriously smooth soft and super hydrated. I’ve really noticed a significant difference in my skin this week and although it sounds slightly cliché to say, it has been visibly glowing. I adored my first sheet mask experience as much as my skin and will certainly be using them again in the future.

Procoal Marine Moisture Masks are sold in packs of 4 which makes them ideal for weekly use to help keep skin feeling hydrated and looking healthy. Fraser’s Fun House readers will receive a fantastic 20% OFF Procoal London products too, simply click here*.
