Recently I had my first ever experience using a sheet face mask when I tried out the latest release from Procoal London and I’m thrilled to say they have another brand new product joining their ever-growing range. The newest addition to their range of natural skincare is the Activated Charcoal Face Scrub which they have kindly asked me to road test. I usually use a supermarket brand face scrub for everyday use and personally prefer scrubs to ordinary face wash as my skin always feels much cleaner thanks to the micro beads they contain. I was therefore thrilled to try out a new brand and be able to make a comparison based on my usual skincare routine.
The Activated Charcoal Face Scrub is a powerful, detoxifying, all-natural product designed to be used 2-3 times a week as opposed to daily. Expertly designed to gently exfoliate and cleanse the skin it’s powerful active ingredients combine to help remove impurities and contaminants whist drawing excess oil from the skin, leaving it feeling fresh and hydrated.
- The Activated Charcoal helps to clean even the most deep seated pores in your skin by removing pollutants to leave skin feeling and looking clean and fresh.
- The Pumice in the scrub helps to gently exfoliate the skin unclogging the pores and removing dead skin.
- The Calendula Oil contained in the scrub helps to restore the water balance of the skin plus helps improve moisture retention – and we all know this means younger looking plump skin!
- Last but not least the scrub contains Allantoin which helps reduce any skin irritation whilst stimulating the growth of healthy tissue.
Like all of their other products the Activated Charcoal Face Scrub is free from Parabens, SLS, Mineral oil and Paraffin as well as being cruelty free – the way all skin care should be! It’s also suitable for all skin types and perfect for use by both men and women. This all-in-one exfoliating face scrub promises to leave your pores less congested and visibly minimised to give a vibrant, fresher looking complexion, but what did I think?
I tested the scrub over the course of a week, using it the recommended 3 times and I have to say I’m really impressed with how my skin looks and feels as a result. The pumice beads in the scrub are a lot finer than in my usual brand which made it feel like my skin was getting a much more thorough clean. I discovered that I didn’t actually need much for each wash after accidentally getting carried away when I first used it! I was also surprised to find the scrub is white with black bits as I was expecting it to be black like the sheet masks!
The smell of the scrub is really nice and felt lovely as I applied to it my skin – I have very sensitive skin and had no irritation using this product which is fabulous. After use my skin felt soft, fresh and really clean and I noticed a significant difference in my skin by the end of the week. My skin felt much clearer and blemish free plus looked much brighter if that’s the right phrase use! I really like this product and will certainly continue to use it a couple of times a week to compliment my current skin care regime.
