About The Book

An exciting visit to the Funfair for Eliza, her grandmother, Grinny, and their much loved Labrador, Brilliant Baxter. This story’s easy rhyme and vibrant illustrations are certain to delight both children and adults.

Review

Brilliant Baxter at the Funfair is a short, easy to read book ideal for sharing with little ones and perfect for those beginning to read independently. It tells the story of Eliza as she spends a fun day out with her Grinny and lovable furry sidekick Baxter at the funfair. However, Baxter is more than your average dog, he has a sixth sense for danger, which thankfully helps avert disaster on the carousel , leaving the group to enjoy the rest of their day.

This book is written using simple language and rhyme with only four lines per page, perfect for those who won’t sit for long stories! The illustrations provided by Tim Bulmer are wonderfully vibrant and depict the story perfectly, adding a little something extra to an already delightful tale. We really enjoyed sharing this one together and it’s certain to be a real hit with any youngster, especially if they happen to have a weakness for dogs!!
