Back To School With Stickerscape

It’s the Easter holidays and I can barely believe that two thirds of the school year has flown past in the blink of an eye, before we know it the Summer holidays will be upon us. It’s at this time of the year I begin to turn my attention to September and the kids going back to school and not just because I’m going mad with them at home under my feet!

I admit I’m super organised when it comes to the Back To School preparation tending to pick things up in the months prior to spread the cost if nothing else, school uniform isn’t a cheap business. This year I will have three to kit out as our youngest little man starts in Reception (gulp) and when we find out his allocated place in mid-April it will be all systems go in terms of uniform purchases.

The thing I always leave until the last minute when it comes to uniform though is the labelling. I’m so busy giving myself a pat on the back that I’m super organised and not rushing around the shops in the last week of the school holidays that I completely forget about labelling everything! I’m sure every parent reading this can relate to the frustration of lost sports kits, jumpers and shorts so labelling is probably the most important part of the Back To School preparation.

This year will be different thanks to the lovely folks at Stickerscape who recently contacted us asking if they could send us some of their name labels to review. I was given a choice of iron-on for clothing, stick-on for shoes, books, bags etc or a mixed pack containing both. I opted for the iron-on labels to use on Leo’s uniform and after browsing their many designs picked the monster pack- there are so many lovely designs to chose from including dinosaurs, Thomas the Tank Engine, unicorns, fairies and many more it was a real struggle to decide!

We were sent five sheets of iron-on labels containing 127 labels of various sizes and designs. They arrived presented in a lovely cardboard folder which has application instructions on the rear and included protective sheets to use when applying. I was immediately impressed with how vivid and bright the colours of the labels were knowing they will be easy for Leo to recognise, especially as his name is printed nice and clearly too.

As we had been sent so many I decided to label some of Leo’s nursery clothes to road test them ahead of September and I was really impressed with how easy they are to apply. Simply lay flat on the material/care label, cover with a protective sheet and iron for 15 seconds and it’s done! In the past I have tried the old school labels that you write on with laundry pen before ironing on I can safely say these are a billion times better, the quality is excellent, and they have stayed firm despite numerous washes. Even after labelling loads of nursery clothes I still have plenty to do his school uniform come September and at £12 per pack I think they are superb value for money. Labelling will not be an afterthought for me this year!

Stickerscape also offer a school fundraising scheme where schools can earn 25% commission every time a parent purchases a pack of name labels. Click here for details of how your school can register for this scheme.

A family run business, all of Stickerscape’s items are lovingly created in-house by hand and the service and speed of delivery I received was fantastic. They also sell a range of other products including personalised gifts and a massive range of wall stickers from cute quotes and characters to chalkboard stickers. We really love these Monster wall stickers…..

We were gifted a pack of iron-on labels in return for an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are unbiased and our own.

  1. you have some of the cutest kids post Mel! I honestly believe kids are getting more and more cool and creative things than I remeber having and I think that’s awesome! I mean I wouldn’t give up all the cool toys and such I had but these stickers are pretty cool in my books. Lol Leo must’ve been so excited, well done to you and Stickescape! 🙂
