The Fall Tag

Autumn is just flying past as we whizz our way toward Christmas! However, fear not there’s still some time to get into the Fall spirit and today’s post might just help. Hannah from Hannah’s Bookshelf kindly tagged me last week to complete the Fall Tag and I was thrilled as it’s been a while since I took part in one of these – Thanks for the tagging me! If you haven’t already I recommend a visit to Hannah’s blog which is filled with all things book, perfect for a bibliophile like me!

So, here are my answers to the 10 Fall Tag questions, I hope you enjoy reading it!

1. What is one candle you MUST light every fall?

There isn’t one candle in particular, however I really like the scent of Cinnamon* as it evokes memories of cosy nights on the sofa as the nights draw in.

2. When you think of fall, what does it remind you of?

I adore Autumn and when I think of it the first thing that comes to mind is all the wonderful colours we see in nature as the leaves drop from the trees plus of course the accompanying leaf jumping!

3. What is your all-time favourite fall/Halloween movie?

I used to love scary movies, but as I’ve got older I don’t really watch them much anymore! I do love the film Beetlejuice and I really enjoyed the new Ghostbusters although I’m unsure if that counts as a Halloween movie?

4. What Halloween costume do you have in mind?

I’m not planning on dressing up this year as it’s going to be low key as it falls mid-week and the kids are at school. I’ll be taking my little skeleton for a spot of Trick or Treating though.

5. What is your favourite fall trend?

I love being able to dig out my comfy sweaters from the back of the wardrobe as I’m much happier in those than I am in shorts and t-shirts!

6. When you think of fall what drink comes to mind?

As soon as Autumn starts I have the green light to consume as much Hot Chocolate as I can – I don’t think the calories count in Autumn and Winter as I no longer need to maintain a ‘Summer’ bod!

7. What is your go-to fall beauty product? A must-have staple!

Hand cream is my saviour as the weather gets colder. I really suffer with dry hands all year round, but as the temperature drops if I don’t regularly moisturise them I know about it.

8. Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?

Ok, admission I’ve never eaten pumpkin pie! So for me it would have to be apple pie with lashings of warm, creamy custard on top – the ultimate comfort food.

9. Do you have any fall traditions? If so tell us all about it!

I love Bonfire Night as every year as a family we wrap up warm and head down to our local park to watch the fireworks display. It’s always a massive event with thousands of people attending and the atmosphere is amazing. We usually end up munching on hotdogs, burgers or chips from one of the food stalls on the way home too.

10. The moment of truth, is fall your favourite season?

Sorry to say it comes a close second to Winter which has always been my favourite season. I’m a self-confessed Christmas fanatic and I LOVE snow! For me Autumn is the warm up to Winter, I can feel the excitement of the festive season to come and spend the whole of Fall waiting with anticipation.

What are your favourite things about Autumn? Do you have a favourite seasonal tradition?
