Day 24 of Blogmas and I’ve made it! I set out to post daily up to and including Christmas Eve and I’ve done it! I thought I’d make my final post a fun Christmassy Q & A, nice and easy to read as I know everyone will be super hectic today making all those last-minute arrangements! So here they are, my answers to a bunch of Christmas themed questions…..Enjoy!

When do you start getting excited for Christmas?
26th December! My family will tell you, as soon as Christmas is over I start getting organised and excited for the next! Despite being Christmas mad all year round I would say the excitement really starts to reach it’s peak once we hit December. It means I can get the tree up and do lots of Christmas themed things with the family without looking like a mad woman!
Where do you spend Christmas?
We always spend Christmas Day at home with just the five of us which is perfect. It means we can take the day at our own pace making it much more relaxed than if we had to dash off to visit family. We always visit family and friends on the days around Christmas to exchange gifts and celebrate so we get the best of both worlds.

Which festive tradition do you most look forward to?
There are so many to choose from it’s difficult to pick just one! If I really had to I think it’s our visit to Santa as it’s just so magical and exciting when kids still believe – I never want it to end. Second best is our Christmas Eve Buffet which is filled with wonderful things to eat accompanied by a festive film and family time, it’s fabulous.
What is the best Christmas present you have received?
My best present ever was my Fisher Price A La Carte Kitchen I received as a child. I had been wishing so hard Santa would bring it and he did, I was so excited. It received many years of play – even when I was probably a bit too old for it – and it was my favourite ever toy as a child.
What is the worst Christmas present you have received?
One year for the works Secret Santa I was gifted a mini crumb hoover shaped like a sheep that didn’t even work!

Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve?
All our gifts are opened on Christmas morning, although I do wrap the kids a present each instead of a Christmas Eve box. It’s usually a new pair of pyjamas and a toy or game to keep them amused and help the time pass until bedtime.
Do you have a real or artificial tree?
We always have an artificial tree as I couldn’t handle the mess of the pine needles in the house! I do like the look and smell of a real tree, but I’m happy to appreciate them in someone else’s house or from afar!
What is your favourite Christmas song?
Again, this is a really hard choice, but I’d have to say Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas. For me it isn’t officially Christmas until you’ve heard it and as a family it’s the one we all enjoy bopping along to the most.
What is your favourite Christmas movie?
No hesitation with this one it has to be The Muppets Christmas Carol! It’s one I’ve grown up watching year in, year out and no Christmas would be complete without it.
What is your most memorable Christmas moment?
**Warning don’t read if you are eating**
One year as we were clearing the table after Christmas Lunch, my Step-Dad picked up what he thought was a piece of stuffing on the floor and popped it in his mouth. Unfortunately for him it was a hard piece of poop that had fallen out of my baby sister’s nappy! We’ve all never laughed so much, it was hilarious and it’s a story that will be passed down for years to come I’m sure! The moral of the story here is to NEVER eat food from the floor!

I loved reading your answers to this!! I had a Fisher Price kitchen one year from my Dad or Nan and I loved it! It was massive and I spent hours playing with it! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
