As the year draws to a close I thought I’d take the opportunity to reflect on the books I have read during the year. Looking back I can’t actually believe how many books I have managed to squeeze in with the years total standing at 44, smashing my Goodreads goal of 20 right out of the park. The start of the year shows a slow start, but it seems once I got into my stride there was no stopping me on my mission to devour books. Now compared to other book bloggers and fellow bibliophiles my total may pale into insignificance, however considering how busy my life is it’s hard for me to believe I found the time to read so many! As you may have noticed I don’t really have a favourite genre and usually read books based on if the synopsis grabs my attention.
From January I’m making some changes to my content and schedule on the blog and whilst I will still be sharing regular book reviews I’m planning to limit them to a couple per month. There are a few reasons for this; one being that I would like to take the pressure off reading to review and take the time to simply enjoy reading for myself. Another reason is I want to vary what I’m posting about as whilst books are one of my biggest passions I feel I have so much more that I’d like to share with you and by limiting my reviews it will free up time for me to write on other topics.
Anyway, back to today’s post and I thought the best way to recap my reading in 2018 is to link all of the reviews I have posted this year in once place, so here goes:

Phew! Looking back I have read and shared some amazing books this year and I hope my reviews have helped offer all you readers out there some inspiration. My book highlights this year have been the Why Mummy….. books, as a parent they are so relateable and laugh out loud funny they could brighten even my darkest mood! For me though the clear favourite read of 2018 has been I Give You My Heart by SarahJane Ford, if you haven’t read it you must it’s simply breathtaking.
So, that rounds off my year of reading and I’m excited to see which fabulous books come my way in 2019! I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Authors and publisher’s that have been kind enough to send me books. Of course I mustn’t forget the wonderful Rachel who has allowed me to take part in her amazing blog tours.
